UNITED ARROWS ROPPONGI HILLS

The concept behind United Arrows’ flagship shop, which opened in 2016 in Roppongi Hills, is “Bazaar Paranoia.” Inspired by the mysterious bazaars of Marrakech, the time-honored arcades of London, and the lively Japanese nakamise—traditional shopping streets lined with small specialty shops—the space envisions a vibrant lineup of highly individual shops that offer visitors moments of discovery, experience, and retail excitement. Embracing the brand’s longstanding emphasis on the idea of “Japan,” the design incorporates a range of stylistic expressions cultivated over time, creating a space that embodies United Arrows’ curatorial sensibility.

In 2020, the stairwell area known as “THE ARCADE”—originally conceived as a series of small, distinct storefronts—was updated with seasonal items such as sneakers and bags to further enhance its energy and allure.

In 2025, the shop underwent another renovation, reorganizing the back zone on the third floor to expand its sports-casual section. What were once dispersed category-specific corners around the staircase were reconfigured into a single, unified and open retail area. Building on the original spatial concept, the renewed layout achieves a more integrated and open environment that connects seamlessly with the rest of the store.
