Venue design for the Louis Vuitton Men’s Fall-Winter 2025 Show, a collaboration between Pharrell Williams and NIGO®️.
The venue was a large tent erected in the Louvre Museum’s Cour Carrée. With “Japan,” “Archive,” and “Endless Discovery” as key themes, the design explored the relationship between Louis Vuitton and Japan, reinterpreting historical elements through a contemporary lens. Inspired by the ritual rebuilding of Ise Shrine every 20 years, the ensō (Zen circle), and the interplay of light and shadow, the space embodied the essence of Japanese spatial philosophy.
At the entrance, mirrors adorned with a reinterpreted Damier pattern by NIGO®️ reflected the historic architecture. Inside, a circular runway, a ring-shaped illuminated ceiling, and archive boxes arranged in a radial pattern filled the space. These elements showcased the inspirations behind Pharrell, NIGO®️, and Louis Vuitton, while also serving as the backdrop for the show. On the central stage, an orchestral performance took place. Combined with a narrative-driven production, the hybrid spatial design—seamlessly merging the fashion show and archival exhibition—brought to life a one-of-a-kind environment that expressed the concept of “Endless Discovery.”
